Art is used to develop manipulative skills in the use of implements, as well as developing their creativity when expressing themselves through a variety of mediums. Form and perspective will be introduced through their work, along with the processes that will reflect different artists.
Art Appreciation will provide an opportunity to identify styles and give rise to discussion inviting individual response and adaptation. Plus, it is very therapeutic and compliments growth in areas of speech, social skills, emotion regulation, self-exploration, academic development and more.
Dance is used as a medium of expression, gross motor
development, stress relief, increase in confidence, self-esteem and more.
Music is used to develop a sense of enjoyment and appreciation, along with the development of skills in rhythm, tone, knowledge of instruments and reading and writing simple tunes. Singing in choirs, at special occasions or at Assembly provides another element to enjoy performing and participating. Classroom experiences will be extended by
